The Paddock Wine Program is intended to be simple. Each year we present what we believe to be the best wines available to us at a reasonable price to our customers. All of our wine by the glass is chosen after a series of blind tastings which include many of the restaurant's staff so they can personally recommend an appropriate glass to accompany one's choice of appetizer or entree.

The wine list which is modified each winter, recieved the Wine Spectator "Best of Award of Excellence" for 17 years from 1982 to 1999 before their criteria changed. Since 2000, The Paddock wine list has received the "Award of Excellence" each year. 

One blessing of being a seasonal restaurant is that it allows time to research and taste the new wines which are available each year and to choose what we feel are the best drinking wines at that time for the next years consumption. Also, we like to put away wine that won't not reach its peak for several years. The wine list is very broad in scope and includes wine from emerging areas such as South Africa, New Zealand, and Chile, as well as the U.S. and Europe.
